Friends, family remember local victim of 1980 eruption

Bruce Faddis' final adventure began almost 25 years ago, when the 26-year-old drove north out of Bend in a borrowed 1975 Subaru station wagon.

It was a Friday, two days before the violent, May 18, 1980, eruption of Mount St. Helens.
