Tumalo artist sees future in re-creating Bend's past

TUMALO - Dressed in a T-shirt, paint-splattered shorts and moccasins and wielding a pencil, artist Jerry Werner delicately picked out the indentations in a clay button, nearly shoulder-height, on his sculpture's waist.
