School performance rating down from '01

Bend-La Pine district officials are surprised at public opinion shift

As the Bend-La Pine School District moves ahead with plans for a new property tax levy this fall, it appears that voters' perception of the district's performance may have significantly decreased since the 2001 bond election year, according to results from a new community survey.
