Feds require sanctions for failing to meet state attendance targets

For the first time, students at two schools in Central Oregon - one in the Bend-La Pine School District and the other in Jefferson County - must be offered the choice to attend another school because of the failure to meet requirements under the federal No Child Left Behind Act.
