Bend firm tags Prineville for mixed-use site

Brooks Resources buys 1,100-acre parcel for community development

Prineville's east side got a big boost this week after Brooks Resources Corporation, a Bend-based development company, bought a 1,106-acre chunk of land known as the Hudspeth property.

Begining next year, Brooks plans to transform it into the city's first mixed-use community.
