Meningitis takes life of Crook County teen

A Crook County High School senior died Friday of meningococcal disease, a type of bacterial meningitis, the Crook County Health Department confirmed.

Cayla Elizabeth Marie Holt, of Post, was 19.

Her grandmother, Jackie Hendrickson, described Holt as smart, thoughtful and very family oriented.....
