State closes toxic meth-lab homes

But lacks the resources to keep them uninhabited

In Oregon, more than 300 homes are listed on the Department of Human Services' Clandestine Drug Lab Program Web site.

The homes, once used as methamphetamine labs, were raided by police and declared by the state as uninhabitable. They are contaminated by toxic byproducts and are illegal to live....
