Last Thursday, just one day before his 34th birthday, Bill Bob Bickford received a free ride to the Pierce County Jail in Washington after being arrested on charges he bilked elderly residents out of thousands of dollars.

And soon, his travel plans could extend to courtrooms and jails in Oregon....
