Bill seeks to save land from grazing

Ranchers would get payment for giving up grazing permits

WASHINGTON - Legislation being pushed by more than 30 Oregon-based lobbying groups would put cash in the wallets of Western ranchers who agree to give up their federal cattle-grazing permits.
