Cooler fall, heavier snow predicted by climatologist

A cooler fall and heavier-than- average snowfall are in the forecast for Oregon, according to state climatologist George Taylor's annual fall and winter forecast.

In his report issued Thursday, Taylor predicted that fall may arrive by late September, about a month earlier than usual.
