Crown Pacific files for bankruptcy

Gilchrist mill, others expected to continue through reorganization

Faced with $596 million in debt as of March 31, Crown Pacific Partners filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy Monday in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Phoenix, Ariz.

This move by the logging and lumber products company allows it to restructure its operations to pay its creditors.
