City scrounging for every drop of water it can find

In the months ahead, sprinklers in Bend will gush to keep the grass green.

Parents will fill kiddy pools to keep little ones cool.

Hotels and motels will swell with visitors who will inflate the number of showers taken in Bend each day.

And the threat of fire will burn in the back of the minds....
