Group raising cash to buy, restore Metolius land

Since March 2002, representatives from the Deschutes Basin Land Trust have raised about $2.2 million to purchase 1,240 acres of timberland just north of the Metolius River headwaters near Camp Sherman.

They still hope to raise more.
