Historic birth of two spotted owls at High Desert Museum

At least two Northern Spotted Owls have hatched at Bend's High Desert Museum - only the second successful breeding of Northern Spotted Owls in captivity, museum officials announced on Friday.

The parents, Polka and Dot, both are 17 years old.
