Senior league brings out hardball attitude

Local softball teams prepare for a summer of tournaments around the state, and will host one in August

In making a circuit of the bases in this life, most of these boys of summer have rounded third and are headed for home.

But the crack of a bat and pop of the ball into the glove still sends shivers through old joints on the softball diamond.
