Coalition raises cost of annual boater pass

MAUPIN - The cost of an annual boater pass for the lower Deschutes River more than doubled Thursday as a coalition of eight government agencies agreed to raise the price from $35 to $75.

Officials also decided to raise the cost of weekend day passes from the period of May 15 to Sept. 15 to $8....
