Medicare cuts hit Central Oregon

Quietly, Medicare reimbursement for skilled nursing facilities was cut by 10 percent on Tuesday, after the U.S. Senate failed to act on a bill that would have reversed the unintended effect of the 1997 Balanced Budget Act.
