Judge spares life of serval cat that bit 3-year-old girl

Owner on probation, forbidden to own exotic cat for 1 year

A municipal court judge on Thursday spared the life of the serval cat that attacked a 3-year-old girl last month, sending the exotic animal to live permanently at a wildlife retreat near Redmond.

The judge also put the cat's former owner, Jamie Renee Irvin, on probation for one year.
