Taco troubles plague Madras

City declares war on street vendors by refusing to issue permits

MADRAS - Bend may have its hot dog battles, but Madras has its taco troubles. After years of issuing permits to mobile taco stands, the city has decided the stands are no longer allowed.

Officials say the city's zoning ordinance never permitted them in the first place.
