Madras will buy land with 25-year

DOC grant will pay for part of 620-acre purchase

MADRAS - The city intends to buy about 620 acres east of town for the expansion of its sewer facility, city officials announced Thursday.

The land purchase and other improvements will be funded in part with $2.7 million the city recently received from the Department of Corrections.
