Police shoot cougar found napping in Bend back yard

Bend police shot and killed a cougar at a northeast Bend home Friday morning after the 100-pound animal decided to stretch out for a nap in the homeowner's garden.

Kim and Rik Reynolds of 1310 NE Hollinshead Drive discovered the cat sleeping in their back yard about 8:30 a.m.
