Trouble at Newberry spells death for bears

The problem could be prevented if campers ‘bear-proofed' food

An agent from Wildlife Services trapped and killed three black bears in the wildlife refuge at Newberry Crater last weekend after the bruins repeatedly harassed campers, broke into coolers and ate human food.

The trapping will likely continue until officials kill three to six more....
