Sisters City Council votes down Steens Mountain land swap

Officials want Sisters land to remain public

The Sisters City Council voted Thursday night to oppose a proposal by Sisters resident George Stroemple in which he would swap land in the Steens Mountain Wilderness for forest land near Sisters.
