Lancair hits financial turbulence

The Bend-based aircraft manufacturer sends 47 workers packing, for now

Lancair said it had furloughed 47 people from its Bend location, this coming two months after the Bend-based aircraft manufacturer garnered the world's attention for lending its Columbia 300 airplane for Charles Lindbergh's grandson's flight across the Atlantic.
