Marriage is attractive to local couples

Perhaps hearts beat a little more fondly in Bend.

While the percentage of married individuals across the state and in many Central Oregon places declined from 1990 to 2000, a larger percentage of Bend residents kissed at the altar, according to recently released census figures.
