Bass numbers surprise ODFW

Using two boats equipped with electroshocking equipment, the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife on Tuesday tried to send a jolt through the largemouth bass population at Davis Lake.

And they succeeded in catching fish - 160 in all, with many in the 4- to 6-pound range - but they're not ready....
