New Sisters library plan put on shelf

District, city are at odds over rent for current building

After years of disagreement with the city over rent and the property where the Sisters library now stands, the Deschutes Public Library Board has postponed plans to build a new $1.3 million 8,000-square-foot library in Sisters until 2008.
