Once fearful of dying from a simple nose bleed, a 6-year-old Bend girl can now worry about life's other scary challenges - namely, starting first grade this fall.

Alicia Woolhiser, who had been battling a rare blood disease since she was 3 months old, is apparently cured after receiving a bone....
