State pulls its funding for CYIP

First Step, SMART reading program face reductions

The Oregon Youth Authority (OYA) has formally notified Deschutes County that funding for its Community Youth Investment Project (CYIP) has been eliminated.

The letter the county commission received Monday cites "a state revenue shortfall" as the reason for the elimination.
