Truck stop loses its namesake, Jacob Merle Wolfe

Jacob Merle Wolfe, a prominent businessman who helped found the Bank of The Cascades and owned the Bend landmark Jake's Truck Stop, died Wednesday. He was 77.

Wolfe was born in Farmington, Iowa, on March 12, 1924, to Darrel and Dorothy Wolfe.
