Bend water crisis in store, officials say

More water will be needed for future development

Bend will not be able to meet its water demands for future development by the year 2007 unless the city acquires more water rights, public works officials say.

Existing water customers " mostly industrial and residential users " need not worry, Public Works Director Mike Elmore said.....
