Two men jailed after La Pine attack, chase

Bail set at more than $1.3 million for each man charged in the attack

Two men remained in jail this morning after they allegedly broke into a La Pine home Monday night, tied up an elderly resident, beat him and slashed his throat, then stole his Jeep and led police on a chase through Bend.

The victim survived the attack, and was able to phone for help.
