Forest Service will sell nursery to Bend parks

District still has some hurdles to clear before getting Pine Nursery

The U.S. Forest Service has agreed to sell the Bend Pine Nursery to the Bend Metro Park and Recreation District at the property's appraised value, rather than opening up the process to competitive bid, a spokeswoman for Sen. Ron Wyden said Monday.
