Staff at middle school temporarily evacuated Monday

Rachel Woods probably wouldn't have noticed the little white sign where her Bend neighborhood turns into the western base of Pilot Butte.

"Notice: Cougar spotted near west side of Pilot Butte on Aug. 6. Pilot Butte closed until further notice."
