Bend’s remarkable cancer doctor to retire

Dr. Richard Woods snowboards down Mount Bachelor and runs up Pilot Butte, his near-shoulder-length hair blowin' in the wind.

All this and he's 70.

He also treats Central Oregonians facing a killer disease. Patients adore him; so does his staff.

All that and he's retiring.
