Special Olympians win big at tournament

For the first time ever, 1,000 Special Olympians descended on Bend over the weekend to compete in the annual Special Olympics state basketball tournament.

Formerly held in Ashland, Eugene or Portland, the tournament moved to Bend this year so it could be played at the same time as the winter....
