Western Communications, Inc., is a family-owned corporation founded by renowned editor Robert W. Chandler. It owns nine publications in Oregon and California.
WesCom is a fast-growing company led by Elizabeth "Betsy" McCool, daughter of Robert Chandler, and Gordon Black, president of WesCom and publisher of The Bulletin. They have established the future direction of WesCom as a progressive publishing group.
The flagship publication is The Bulletin in Bend, Oregon. Our sister newspapers in Oregon include the Baker City Herald, the Curry Coastal Pilot in Brookings, The Observer in La Grande, and the Redmond Spokesman. Western Communications also publishes the Central Oregon Nickel Ads.
