More direct flights increase options for visitors

Getting here

Central Oregon's primary airport, Roberts Field in Redmond, now is served by direct flights from several Western cities: Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, Salt Lake City, and, in summer only, Denver. Service from Oakland on Allegiant Airlines will end Aug. 12.

Alaska Airlines and its regional partner Horizon Airlines offer direct flights from Portland, Seattle, and Eugene.

United Express offers flights from Portland, San Francisco and Denver.

Delta Airlines offers flights from Salt Lake City.

Driving here

The Central Oregon communities of Bend, Redmond, Sunriver, La Pine and Terrebonne all are located along U.S. Highway 97. Bend is about 160 miles from Portland.

Sisters is located on U.S. Highway 20, about 23 miles northwest of Bend.

Prineville is located on U.S. Highway 126, about 35 miles northeast of Bend.

Madras is located at the junction of U.S. Highway 26 and U.S. Highway 97, about 44 miles north of Bend.

Other options

The Central Oregon Breeze offers motorcoach service to Central Oregon from several locations in Portland, including the Amtrak station and the airport, several times a day. Click for details and booking.
