Landscape Architect Chelsea Schneider of the Bend Park & Recreation District said the 4.7-acre space is on schedule for completion by its planned August grand opening. Schneider said passersby will see construction on three buildings and the installation of irrigation in the park site during the next several weeks. Buildings will include a restroom, a shade structure and a donor's pavilion. She said a community garden will be installed for the 2014 growing season.
