Published: March 13. 2013 4:00AM PST

The man accused of robbing a Shari’s restaurant in north Bend and an Arco gas station on the east side of town was arraigned Tuesday on two counts of tampering with a witness.

Anthony Pastran, 44, is in Deschutes County jail. He and Lisa Schnittke, 39, are charged with seven counts of unlawful use of a weapon, three counts of first-degree robbery, two counts of fourth-degree assault and one count of second-degree assault related to the robberies that took place in August and November of last year. Pastran is also charged with one count each of third-degree assault, reckless endangerment, methamphetamine possession and being a felon in possession of a firearm, after he allegedly shot Schnittke in their home in northeast Bend in December.

According to a search warrant return filed March 6, deputies at the Deschutes County jail found a series of notes from Pastran to Schnittke, several of which make reference to the robberies and testimony that she might give during a trial.

Pastran’s next court appearance is scheduled for March 26.
