Building a better bridge

Deschutes County Road Department employees deconstruct the wooden deck of a bridge over the Central Oregon Irrigation District canal on Gribbling Road between U.S. Highway 20 and Ward Road east of Bend on Monday. The bridge is getting a new deck, and guardrails will be added to improve safety. It will be closed due to construction through Thursday.
