Adam Albert Kuss

Adam Albert Kuss of Paradise, CA, (formerly of Bend, OR) was one of six children born in St. Louis, MO, to Austrian immigrants Frank and Mary Kuss. Adam was a veteran of WWII and served with the 345th Field Artillery Battalion, 90th Infantry Div. 3rd Army, from Jan. 1942 - Oct. 1945. He was awarded five Bronze Stars for campaigns in Normandy, Rhineland, Northern France, Ardennes, and Central Europe.

Adam married, Virginia Rutha in Detroit, MI, Dec. 1, 1945. He worked as a machinist for Federal Mogul for over 27 years and retired from Korest-Perterson Corp., after 15 years.

Adam was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He served as post commander in 1962 - 1963, for post #6782 in E. Detroit, MI.

Adam is survived by his wife, Virginia of 67 years; sister, Helen of Taylor, MI; his children, Robert of Chesterfield, MI, Kenneth of Lake Orion, MI, Carol Rondy of Deckerville, MI, Michael of Paradise, CA, Richard of Bend, OR, Donna Smiley of Port Sanilac, MI, and Paul of Paradise, UT; and 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
