• Robin Gyorgyfalvy was recently elected to the Council of Fellows of the American Society of Landscape Architects. She was also elected chairperson of the High Desert Chapter of ASLA and on the executive committee of ASLA Oregon in Portland. She has also been invited to speak at an international forum on the development of national forest parks in Changsha, Hunan Province, China. Gyorgyfalvy is the Deschutes National Forest Landscape Architect and Scenic Byways Program Leader. She is also a board member for Bend 2030 and the Deschutes Cultural Coalition of the Oregon Trust.
• Michael Rupp, a financial consultant at D. A. Davidson & Co. in Bend, has received the 2012 Bragg Lewis Knutson Community Service Award. This is the firm’s highest honor and is given annually in recognition of outstanding volunteerism. Rupp is a member of the Mt. Bachelor Rotary Club and an advocate and board president for Grandma’s House of Central Oregon.
• Leanne Johnson, of Coldwell Banker Mayfield Realty in Redmond, was the top selling agent for January.
• Cec DeClerck, of Coldwell Banker Mayfield Realty in Redmond, was the top listing agent for January.
• Russ White has joined Hunter Properties in Bend as a broker.
• Lynn Johns, a broker at Central Oregon Resort Realty, has joined the Women’s Council of Realtors Central Oregon Chapter. Johns has been a Realtor for eight years.
• Janda Pacheco, Superior School’s vice president of training, has joined the Women’s Council of Realtors Central Oregon Chapter. Pacheco has more than 12 years of experience in real estate and heads the education committee for WCR.
• Mike Wilson, of Hunter Properties in Bend, was the top producing agent for January.
• Lisa Wettstein has joined Bend Premier Real Estate as a broker. Wettstein previously owned a catering business and was an office manager for a large orthodontic practice in California.
• The United Way of Deschutes County has announced the election of 11 new volunteers to its board of directors. Joining the board for a three-year term are: Todd Dunkelberg, Deschutes Public Library; Brenda Finkle, St. Charles Health System; Tyler Friesen, Schmid Malone; Jose Galvan, OnPoint Community Credit Union; Craig Jorgensen, Nativity Lutheran Church; Scot Langton, Deschutes County; Dave Markham, Central Electric Cooperative; Chip Reeves, Bank of the Cascades; Summer Sears, Summer Sears CPA; Ray Spreier, Mid Oregon Credit Union; and Tamara Weber, Robberson Ford. Those serving a second three-year term are: Jan Even, Smith Rock Farm; Cheryl Howard, city of Bend; Dennis Lynn, OSU-Cascades; Greg Pollack, G. Pollack Financial; John Salzer, Sunriver Community Volunteer; Todd Shields, St. Charles Health System and Stan Turel, Helping You Tax & Accounting. The board elected the following officers to serve a one-year term: President John Salzer; First vice-president Corky Senecal; Second vice-president Sean Watt; and Treasurer Lisa Ihander.
