Gordon Mansfield, 71: Army veteran shot in the spine in Vietnam; he became a leading advocate for disabled veterans and retired as a top official of the Department of Veterans Affairs. Died Jan. 29 in Washington.
Garrett Lewis, 79: Set decorator who earned Oscar nominations for his work on “Beaches," “Glory," “Hook" and “Bram Stoker's Dracula." Died Jan. 29.
