William Lee Pidgeon was born December 22, 1960 to Dr. Wayne McKay Pidgeon and Katherine Louise Pidgeon. He grew up in Portland, Oregon graduating from Wilson High School and also Lewis and Clark College. He enjoyed his overseas studies in Egypt and spoke fluent Arabic and Persian.
Bill moved to Bend, Oregon in 1987. He worked at the Stereo Planet in downtown Bend for many years as a salesperson and bookkeeper. He recently was working for Nature's in the grocery service. He had also worked as a bookkeeper for West Side Shell.
Bill loved the outdoors. He loved to hike with his dog Spike. He was a big fan of Shevlin Park and knew every trail by heart. He brought joy and laughter to many who knew him and will be missed by many.
Bill is survived by one son Luke Swearengin, a brother John Pidgeon, sister Carol Taylor, nephew Scott Taylor and nieces Becca Taylor, Monica and Belinda Pidgeon.
A memorial will be held at Bend Brewing Co. (next to PIne Tavern in Bend, Oregon) at 3:00 February 9th 2013.
