Edward Kresky, 88: Investment banker who was an architect of the debt refinancing plan that saved New York City from bankruptcy in the 1970s. Died on Jan. 23 at his home in New York.
Geraldine Rhoads, 98: Editor-in-chief of Woman’s Day magazine who guided it toward covering the women’s movement while still embracing its tradition of homespun advice. Died Saturday.
Jean-Leon Destine, 94: Haitian dancer and choreographer who brought his country’s traditional music and dance to concert stages around the world, Died Jan. 22.
