CORVALLIS — Fresh off its first conference win of the season, Oregon State goes for its first sweep of the Washington schools since 2005 when the Beavers host Washington State today at Gill Coliseum.

Start time is set for 2 p.m., and the game will be televised live on the Pac-12 Network.

After dropping its first five games of the Pac-12 season, Oregon State (1-5 Pac-12, 11-8 overall) got in the win column Wednesday night with a 74-66 home victory over the Washington Huskies.

The Beavers are off to a 1-5 start in conference play for the third time in Craig Robinson’s five seasons as head coach in Corvallis. Both times, Oregon State went 6-6 over its final 12 conference games to finish 7-11 in Pac-12 play and then made strong postseason showings.

In 2008-09, the Beavers won five of six games in the College Basketball Invitational tournament to win the title. Last season, they won two games in the Pac-12 tournament to reach the semifinals and then won two games in the CBI.

Oregon State is led in scoring by junior guard Roberto Nelson, who ranks sixth in the Pac-12 with 16.1 points per game. Junior forward Devon Collier is averaging 14.5 points per game for the Beavers.
