A.W. Clausen, 89: American banker who rose to the highest echelons of his field nationally and internationally, serving twice as president of Bank of America with a stint as head of the World Bank in between. Died Tuesday at a hospital in Burlingame, Calif.
Corinne Jacker, 79: Obie Award-winning playwright known for bringing wry humor to often wrenching domestic stories, like “Bits & Pieces" and “Harry Outside." Died Jan. 11 at her home in Manhattan.
Hans Massaquoi, 87: former managing editor of Ebony magazine and author of “Destined to Witness: Growing up Black in Nazi Germany." Died Jan. 19 in Jacksonville, Fla.
