Lucille Kokel Pitman passed away on January 5, at Ashley Manor Care Center in Redmond. She was 92.
Lucille was born November 5, 1920, in Scotts Mills, OR. She made her home in Silverton and moved to Redmond in 1998.
Lucille spent many years working for the State of Oregon in Salem. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, the Old Time Fiddlers and dancing at the Elks Lodge with Darcy. First and foremost she was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
Lucille is survived by her husband, Darcy Pitman; son, Leonard Kokel (Coos Bay), 17 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Kokel; son, Aulden Kokel, and great-grandson, Brigham Lee Kokel.
Memorial services will be held in Silverton in April. Family and friends will be notified of details. Contributions in Lucille's memory may be made to the Southwestern Chapter, American Council of the Blind of Oregon, P.O. Box 1658, Coos Bay, Oregon 97420.
