Published: January 12. 2013 4:00AM PST

The Small Business Development Center at Central Oregon Community College and the Partnership to End Poverty have teamed up to offer free business classes for veterans, part of a veterans entrepreneurship program.

One course, How to Start a Business, will be taught in six two-hour classes in Bend, La Pine, Madras, Prineville and Redmond. The first is scheduled for Wednesday in Bend.

Additional courses, available at a discount for veterans, are scheduled to be held between February and early April on different aspects of starting a business. A year-long small business management course, which starts in February, will have a reduced price for veterans as well. For more information or to register call COCC at 541-383-7290.
